Description
Winds carry seeds that transport flowers never seen in a land before. Man also transplants his flowers, grains, and plants when he relocates to new lands. That gives new meaning to “traveler”! This flower originated in Cuba and has been a Floridian flower for over a hundred years. Its ability to adapt to certain types of weather has made this tropical looking plant ideal for the changing weather of the region. Although I only found one, this particular flower has a history of blooming all at once and then fading away for the rest of the summer; not to bloom again until the following summer. When I found this loner, it was well after this time, which made this one quite beautiful amid all the greenery in a front yard.
