Description
The Osprey is a large predatory bird that can be found down in the Everglades of Florida, USA. As you can see from this photo, its talons are large and the beak is hooked. This enables the bird to grab fish quickly and efficiently from the waters below and tear at its meal with the powerful beak. It was amazing to catch this bird of prey just sitting on a relatively thin branch, twisting its head side to side, seemingly waiting for the tourists to pass by before it ate its lunch. After we had passed, I glanced back to see the Osprey tearing into its meal with relish

Am enjoying your photos and this one especially. There are many Ospreys in my part of Canada and a pleasure to watch and capture in photos. Wonderful image.

Thank you Omer. They are wonderful birds to capture, for sure, and they always seem to look so fierce!
