Description
Take a ride, see what's out there. It's right in your own back yard. This mountain range is called the San Fransisco Mountain range and is located in northern Arizona. It is comprised of six mountain peaks, all named after explorers who came to the area after the railroad heading west was built to bring gold diggers traveling through to California in their hunt for riches. The Navajo considered it the Scared Mountain of the West as it was considered the farthest southwest border of their lands and their Gods resided in them.
The city of Flagstaff is splayed out around the base of the range today. But it is a small speck compared to the immense perimeter of the mountain. Visitors are struck by the beauty of the sky and the majesty of the snow-capped peaks.

Superb image and great monochrome treatment. Love the expansiveness of the scene and the dramatic view. Reminds me of my trip to Arizona and Nevada a few years back. Awesome scene, awesome vision, awesome photography.

Thanks Connie. I get "drawn in" every time I look at it. Makes me want to get "on the road" again.
