The Chicago Botanic Gardens in the suburb of Wilmette, Illinois is a great place to go in all seasons. This beautiful Japanese style bridge connects the mainland to a small island that is comprised of oriental bushes, trees, and flowers. In the spring and summer, the Japanese gardens burst into life, giving the visitor a gorgeous, quiet place to just enjoy Mother Nature. To me, this bridge is a connection between peace and serenity, and the everyday hectic world we live in. Taking a walk in the gardens in any season brings the mind to a place of rest and ease.
