Taking a walk in Italy in the area of Cinque Terre, one can find hidden doors and secret gardens. This particular garden door cannot been seen from the roadway above and can only be observed along a narrow, winding path that leads down to the waterfront town from up above. If you simply watch your step, you might miss this beautiful doorway from the past as it is built into the hillside and a bit back from the path. The door looks as if it is forgotten by time but has weathered the years quite well. Quite beautiful in its simplicity and age.
This photographer has taught herself through life to look for beauty in the smallest of things and stand in awe of nature's natural beauty. Her work reflects how she see the world on any given day. You will find color prints, textured prints, and digitally altered prints as well as prints devoid of color. Prints that evoke feelings of simpleness, sympathy, warmth, passion, joy, as well as moodiness. The camera takes the photo. It is what the photographer does with it that makes it a piece of art. This is beautiful Kathleen! It makes me wonder what's on the other side... It reminds me of the door on the Gladiator!
