This window could be anywhere in the woods. This particular one is in an old cabin located in the Smokey Mountains on the Tennessee side of the Range. Peppered throughout the mountain range are similar windows of old that give the looker a sense of what the pioneers woke up to every morning.
When this image was taken, the Smokey Mountains were just starting to enter the Fall season. Some of the trees in the background had already changed colors while others were slowing following suit.
When hiking along its many trails, one can almost see and smell the past as if it was still the present. Beautiful.
