This ruin is found at St. Kevin's Way in the Wicklow Mountains of Ireland. St. Kevin was a hermit who lived the simple life and founded the monastery located in Glendalough Valley below this ruin, around 600 A.D.. It was not unusual for him to leave the monastery and live in the mountains, possibly even in this ruin.
