A ride down one of Venice Canals on a gondola makes for seeing the world from a different angle! Buildings rise up from the waters, blocking some of the sun along the narrow waterways. What is fascinating is that these structures have stood the test of time. You will not find modern construction here. Everything dates back hundreds of year. The neck gets achy looking up at the gorgeous windows and balconies as you float by and turn corners into other water "streets". One cannot help but admire the builders of yesteryear who constructed a city that continues to thrive, even though its basements are pillars driven into the water bed and the safety of its residents is dependent on the water level surrounding this gorgeous place in Italy.
This photographer has taught herself through life to look for beauty in the smallest of things and stand in awe of nature's natural beauty. Her work reflects how she see the world on any given day.
