Located just north of Lake Geneva, Wisconsin on a rural route, this large barn sits strong and worn from many years in the weather. Although a bit run down, it still is in use by the farmer. If you look closely, you can see some of the items the farmer stores in the barn and imagine all the farm equipment stored there for a clear day to work the fields of corn, hay, or wheat that the hard-working farmer grows.

What attracted my eye was the farmer's "quick fix" of the upper story window. The two long boards to hold the covering over the window added character to the building which otherwise might have been "just another barn" in my travels. This was taken in late summer on a heavily overcast day which really brought out the textures of the wood and what's left of the white paint.

This photographer has taught herself through life to look for beauty in the smallest of things and stand in awe of nature's natural beauty. Her work reflects how she see the world on any given day. You will find color prints, textured prints, and digitally altered prints as well as prints devoid of color. Prints that evoke feelings of simpleness, sympathy, warmth, passion, joy, as well as moodiness. The camera takes the photo. It is what the photographer does with it that makes it a piece of art.
